While my initial focus was on the preparation of savory meals and sweet desserts, much has changed. Sure, I still cook and enjoy the culinary arts tremendously. But my new joy is food styling – organizing, preparing and positioning food in eye-catching ways that make viewers pause and breathe in the beauty of the essence of food. Perhaps much as the dishes I created as a chef, transformation is my specialty. I’m always modifying my game plan and my life.

If you remember the shape of your spoon at lunch, it has to be the wrong shape. The spoon and the letter are tools; one to take food from the bowl, the other to take information off the page… When it is a good design, the reader has to feel comfortable because the letter is both banal and beautiful. –  Adrian Frutiger
