Title:
The Chromatic Kitchen
Program:
Photoshop, InDesign

Josef Albers famously said, “Color is like cooking. The cook puts in more or less salt—that’s the difference.” That line resonates deeply with me because of my background in the culinary arts. As a chef, I learned the power of “eating with our eyes”—how the intentional use of color on a plate elevates the entire dining experience.

Color works the same way in our daily lives and in our creative practices. It’s more than the three primaries we learned as children. It’s the subtle variations—the hues, tones, and temperatures—that shape how we feel and what we notice. When we look closer, we discover layers of color we may have overlooked before.

The world is filled with color; we just have to train ourselves to truly see it.
